This weekend was filled with challenges as we battled setup issues and constantly changing weather conditions. Free practice saw us struggling with too much grip, cornering on three wheels more than four. Despite the bouncing around, I couldn't manage decent lap times.
Qualifying in pouring rain was a first for me with this chassis, securing a promising P8 on the grid. The races were tough - we guessed for a dry setup in, in the end a wet race 1 made it hard to fight for positions. However, race 2 in wet conditions showed great pace, until an overenthusiastic move from my side led to a spin while battling back to the top 10.
Sunday brought more adversity with spins, but some luck landed me a spot in the super final. Unfortunately, an unusual issue on the left rear of the kart caused a crash in lap 1, ending our weekend prematurely.
Not the result we hoped for, but there's untapped potential waiting to be unleashed. Convinced, weāll fix this together with Sfp Racing beforeĀ theĀ nextĀ race.
